Sara was born and raised in Maria Stein, Ohio. She graduated from Marion Local High School in 1996. After graduation, she attended Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in June 2000. She started her nursing career at Wayne Health Care in Greenville, Ohio in the labor/delivery, post-partum and nursery unit for 5 years. In 2005, she started with State of the Heart Hospice in Coldwater, Ohio and continued her nursing career there for 11 years. She became a certified hospice and palliative care nurse in 2012. She has been a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses since 2016. She graduated with a Master of Science in the Family Nurse Practitioner program from Wright State University in April 2017. She is officially certified though the American Association for Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Her interests are in disease prevention, health promotion and women’s health. Sara is married to her husband Brent and resides in Maria Stein, Ohio. They have four children. She enjoys spending time with her family, and especially watching her children participate in sports, dance and many other activities. Her interests are gardening, cooking and spending time outdoors.
