Situated on the hospital’s sixth floor, this unit is licensed to provide nursing care and intensive therapy in a hospital environment.

- Stroke/Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA)
- Brain dysfunctions from trauma or surgeries
- Neurological disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis, paralysis, or Parkinson’s Disease
- Spinal cord injuries
- Orthopedic issues like joint replacements, scoliosis, hip dysplasia, and failed hip replacements
- Amputations
- Hip fractures
- Arthritis affecting multiple joints, including rheumatoid arthritis
- Major multiple trauma
- General weakness and debilitation due to complex medical conditions
- Ongoing conditions that hinder recovery or returning to previous functional levels
Patient Referral Process
Referrals can be made by physicians from any healthcare setting, including emergency rooms, physician offices, or patient homes. Patients can be admitted directly from our acute care unit or transferred from another acute care facility. A pre-admission screening is required to determine eligibility for acute rehabilitation, which includes:
- Medical stability
- Ability to engage in an intensive rehabilitation program
- Requirement for both physical therapy and occupational therapy
