Dr. Dawn McNaughton is a family medicine physician who received her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1998. She completed her family medicine residency at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base, California and the University of California Davis in 2001. She is a proud United States Air Force Veteran. She is board-certified in Family Medicine. Dr. McNaughton is a New Bremen native, and she and her family were excited to return to her hometown of New Bremen after completing her military service and briefly practicing in the Cincinnati region. She is passionate about rural medicine and assuring that our local communities have excellent care by furthering the education of future physicians. She loves full spectrum care in family medicine and enjoys caring for her patients from birth to the end of life. She advocates that each patient should feel like they are a part of the Grand Lake Health Center family. The USAF Core values: Integrity First, Service before Self and Excellence in All We Do, remain at the center of her care model. Her practice, Primary Care St. Marys (PCSM), is housed in the Medical Office Building on Knoxville Ave in St. Marys. On days she is not in the office caring for patients, Dr. McNaughton is busy as the Chief Medical Officer for Grand Lake Physician Practices, where she works closely with the leadership team at Grand Lake Health System. She is also the Faculty Director of Rural Health Education for Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine. In this position, she brings aspiring young physicians to our region to immerse them in our culture and foster excitement for rural health care. In her free time, she enjoys golf course outings with her husband Doug and friends, relaxing and traveling with her children, advancing her faith, cheering for the New Bremen Cardinals and time outdoors with her dogs.
