Krista, originally from the Mercer/Auglaize area, found her love for medicine at Tri Star Career Center, where she studied in the Med Prep program. She further pursued medicine by obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and a minor in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. From there, she continued her education at Kettering College in the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program. After graduation, Krista started her career in General and Trauma surgery, where she worked for 3 years before making the transition to Grand Lake Health System, where she now works in General Surgery, caring for patients in two convenient locations- St. Marys and Coldwater. She strives to partner with patients and their families as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team; her goal is to promote holistic health care through prevention where possible, and education that promotes the “whole person” and community wellness practices. Specializing in general surgery, her expertise includes GERD, gallbladder disease, hernia management, colon cancer prevention and treatment and much more. Krista resides in St. Marys with her husband and children. She enjoys taking photographs, walking her dog and playing card games in her free time.
